Epakta

Roman Giza, professional Stickist from Poland living in Portugal.
His old Stick got stolen on Sunday, March 31st, in Lisbon - Portugal, leaving him with no other way
to make a living. We are asking everyone who values music, musicians and beauty in the world, to
contribute and help Roman buy a new Chapman Stick.

Hi everyone, so here it is.
Following Bruce's advise I created a GoFundMe campaign to help Roman.?
This way everyone can see how much is there at all times and nothing is hidden. Anyone else wishes
to manage the account with me? I can add people to the team so, any help is welcomed  ?
I urge you all to share this link across any platforms - let's make a little difference in someone's life,
why won't we?
Emmett, generous as ever, is contributing in a very special way also and has given me permission to
transcribe his message so here it is:
"Over my manufacturing career, there have been somewhere around eight stolen Sticks and most of
them showed up soon after the theft, but sometimes years later. First clues usually came from pawn
shops or sales ads or inquiries about strings and accessories by new owners. We'll do our best to help
return Roman's instrument if we hear about it and would keep you informed and all concerned.
We laud the Stick design as a "blank slate" and that applies to all tunings as well. The bridge and nut
hardware is designed for any gauge string at any string position and there's never an extra charge for
custom tunings - flipped, reversed, exchanged sides, intervals, lefties, whatever.
And yes, we could set up a new or used Stick to his 3rds tuning in heavy, medium or light gauges
(medium recommended). We'd give him (or his Samaritans) a good price break, to be worked out
around the time of his order. He might be very happy with a Stick in 3rds with optimum setup and
exact intonation (might play "like butter" in his hands)."

Any doubts feel free to ask, message, email, facebook, whatever.
I'll do my best to keep this alive as long as it has to.

THE PAUL KOORS BAND
Save the date, October 12.

,

.
It's a real honor and privilege to bring together these great players to perform the music of Paul Koors.
Paul was a friend of mine, a great songwriter, talented guitarist and singer, who had just finished recording
his 2nd album in my home studio when he died unexpectedly from sudden heart failure at the young age of 38 last August.
.
Paul was a doctor, proud father of two, and devoted husband, whose vision of what it means to be a man in this day
and age really spoke to me, as it does through his songs. Paul did not have the chance to perform this music,
so we must do it for him.
.
The band will have their debut performance at The Southern in Charlottesville on Saturday, October 12th.
It will be a benefit for the Paul Koors Memorial Foundation, set up by his family to fund medical research related
to aortic health, and also music education.
.
His album, "Make a Man, the Unfinished Life of Paul Koors", will be available around the time of the concert,
proceeds from the sale of which will benefit the foundation.
.
It's sure to be a great night of music. More details soon. It's my greatest hope that you can join us.
.
Peyton Tochterman: guitar, vocals - James McLaughlin: drums - Justin Esposito: violin, vocals - Greg Howard: Chapman Stick, vocals
.
Thanks for reading,
Greg
