The Realsamples Bass Stick Collection contains
more than 2,6 GB samples of a Chapman Stick, played
through a Stick preamp on 4 CDs or 1 DVD. A Chapman
Stick is an instrument with 12 strings which is
only played through two-hand tapping and sounds
like a mixture of bass, guitar and harpsichord. It is very hard
to play in reality, but it can bring a nice new
and fresh colour to your mix if used instead of a bass or guitar.
In contrast to conventional sample CD’s, this
set contains much more samples per note than probably any other
sampling CD ever released, for great realism
in 24 bits/44.1 khz. Chromatically sampled with 60 semi-notes,
every semi-note is additionally available in
32 different velocity layers, so you have 32 different samples of each
note`s dynamic range.The set includes ready-to-play
presets for the Halion®/Reason®/Kontakt® and EXS24®.
The files itself are wave files which can also
be used with any other software sampler.
The sounds were very carefully processed with
high quality TC® hardware to give them a very good basic
sound, and in contrast to many other sampling
CD`s, they contain no mastering compression, so they will fit
easier into your musical surroundings and won`t
sound over-processed when your recordings will go to mastering.
