" This Stick # 1234
was manufactured in January 1984 and is made of Brazilian Ironwood. It
was originally
produced as a standard
10-string Stick with Classic Stick tuning. Somewhere along the way, the
fretboard
has been scalloped
between the frets and the nut changed by adding a new module.
This alteration
work must have been done by someone that knows his s.. because the fretboard
is perfectly
straight (see pics),
the curved shapes are totally well proportioned and aligned and the nut
module fits just properly.
I am no musician
but familiar with instruments and precision tools. I tried the Stick and
could get clear sound out on
the amp.Except for
a few cosmetic minor issues due to time and use:
1) a piece of the
nut module that broke apart (doesn't affect the way the stick plays - see
pic)
2) the tunning pegs
that are loosing their copper coating (pics)
3) the case looks
like it's been around a few gigs this Stick is in very good overhaul condition.
No defect, major
scratches, or any dents. You might just need a new set of strings though.
You'll note watching
the pics that the Stick has an engraving from Emmett Chapman.
Those who are familiar
with the Stick will certainly spot this Stick as a unique one.
